A description of the problem, when you need this repair kit:
- The problem lies in the small strainer located on the mechatronics seal, which is released by oil pressure and is pushed into the N218 solenoid, which clogs and is no longer functional to control the K0 clutch. The mechatronics immediately starts reporting the error:
P288400 - Engine Disconnect Clutch - Stuck Open / Stuck Closed (K0) (TPI 2048712/1).
- From this moment only electric drive is possible, and if you want to start the internal combustion engine, the car will go into emergency mode.
- To solve the problem, it is necessary to dismantle the mechatronics, replace the seals and the solenoid (never keep there original solenoid, because it can be dirty or scratched and therefore will not fulfill its function 100%). We also recommend replacing the pressure reservoir, which wears out during the run-in, thus preventing a problem with the pressure in the mechatronics.
